All our handles have 'Zamak' as base material. This is an alloy of mainly zinc and aluminum with small amounts of copper and/or magnesium. Zamak is a compound name that stands for Z(ink), A(luminium), Ma(gnesium) and K(oper).
Zamak has a good resistance to atmospheric corrosion due to the zinc patina layer formed on the surface. The mechanism of this is based on the formation of basic zinc carbonate on the surface thanks to the carbon dioxide (CO2) present in the atmosphere.
This entire process is regularly validated by a 'salt and spray' test in which the end result is tested on a number of quality parameters. As a result, we provide a guarantee of at least 200,000 opening and closing movements.

In order to keep the original characteristics of the product unaltered, it is strongly recommended not to use abrasive detergents for cleaning, but to simply use a soft, dry cloth.
